Civil construction demand in US appears robust
Construction contractors in the US remain optimistic about demand in the short-term, despite facing the risk of rising material costs and interest rates. A civil quarterly report published by Dodge Data & Analytics suggests that non-building construction starts in the US are projected to grow by 16% in 2023 to a total of $281.1 billion, as funding from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) begins to flow to state and local municipalities.
