CIS steel output decreases sequentially in August
CIS crude steel production decreased in August versus July, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish.
Regional output amounted to 8.84 million tonnes, up by 3.6% year-on-year. In July production was 9.2mt, up 11.2% y-o-y (see Kallanish passim). January-August CIS crude steel production thus rose 7.7% on-year to 70.9mt.
