CIS slab price descent slows
CIS slab prices continued to lower last week, althoug the pace of contraction has slowed down somewhat.
Weak demand for Turkish and CIS hot rolled coil prices as a result of safeguard measures imposed in major import markets has resulted in saturation in the Southeast Asian import market. Seasonality also is not helping the mills cause, as some large domestic markets in the western hemisphere look to start battening down for winter.
