CIS pig iron may be bottoming
Merchant pig iron demand has concentrated in China in the past week, a continued trend that started over two weeks ago with a sale of a Russian cargo at $545/tonne cfr, with freight at $80/t. This nets back to $465/t fob Black Sea, the price CIS pig iron has been trading at last week.
