CIS steel output remains flat in May

CIS crude steel production remained flat in May versus April, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish. Regional output amounted to 9.1 million tonnes, up by 14.8% year-on-year but from a Covid-19-hit base. In April production was 9.1mt, more by 21% (see Kallanish passim).
