CIS crude steel output rebounds in May
CIS crude steel production decreased in May, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish. Regional output amounted to 7.7 million tonnes, up 2.8% year-on-year.
In January-May, output was also 0.1% more on-year at 36.7mt.
Russian production last month is estimated to have decreased by 1% to 6.3mt. In the first five months of the year, output fell 2.5% to 31mt.
