CIS crude steel output increases in January
CIS crude steel production increased in January, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish.
Regional output amounted to 9.2 million tonnes, up by 4.5% year-on-year. In 2020 CIS crude steel production increased despite the Covid-19 pandemic by 1.5% on-year to 101.12mt.
Russian output is estimated to have reached 6.7mt in January, up by 6.5% y-o-y.
