CIS crude steel output decreases in February

CIS crude steel production decreased in February after an increase the previous month, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish. Regional output amounted to 8 million tonnes, down by 1% year-on-year. In January-February CIS crude steel production decreased slightly, by 0.4% on-year to 16.8mt. Russian production is estimated to have reached 5.73mt in February, down by 1.3% y-o-y. Cumulative steel output was 12.4mt, down 2.1%. …
