Chopped Commerce budget still boosts trade enforcement
Despite a planned -16% cut in the US Department of Commerce’s budget for next year, the department plans to bolster its trade law enforcement activities, Kallanish reports.
The cuts to the proposed $7.8 billion budget came mainly from data collection services within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the National Institute of Standards and Technology and the Census Bureau.
