Chinese wire rod offers hike after scrap investigation
The Chinese wire rod market is rising along with steel billet in Hebei's Tangshan city and rebar futures on the Shanghai Futures Exchange, Kallanish notes. Chinese traders also lifted wire rod export offers by around $10/tonne on 6 June, after Chinese customs officials announced their investigation on illegally-exported steel scrap.
