Chinese wire rod export prices stay flat
This week the Chinese wire rod export market remained stable with no significant activity. Weak demand from end customers has led to a weak export market, Kallanish notes.
6.5mm diameter mesh grade wire rod with alloy is assessed at $585-590/tonne fob China, unchanged for four weeks. One trader in Manila offered wire rod without alloy at equivalent to $570/t fob China, but this was not representative of fob offers on the market.
