Chinese steelmakers continue to halt production for maintenance
Cangzhou Zhongtie Equipment resumed HRC production on 25 December after a 20-day maintenance period. Other steelmakers however, including Shanxi Jianlong and Jingye Steel, are continuing to announce more maintenance at their plants, Kallanish notes.
According to Cangzhou Zhongtie, its 1,780mm hot strip mill had already started production on 25 December, but still needs 2-3 days to reach full capacity. One blast furnace was also operating as normal…
