Chinese steel futures turn into decline
China's futures market retreated slightly on Wednesday, while the spot market followed the trend and traders lowered offers.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded October 2023 rebar contract closed CNY 8/tonne lower than Tuesday at CNY 3,741/t ($518/t), while the same contract for hot rolled coil lost CNY 7/t to CNY 3,843/t.
