Chinese steel consumption hits 2012 levels
China’s crude steel production fell again in November as lossmaking steelmakers cut back and steel demand was hit by lower construction activity. The figures show China’s daily apparent steel consumption sunk to the lowest level since late 2012, Kallanish calculates.
