Chinese scrap holds on slowing demand
China's scrap steel market saw shipments speed up amid volatile market trends before China's Dragon Boat Festival holidays this weekend.
On Wednesday, Kallanish assessed 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 2,835/tonne ($394/t), including VAT. This is CNY 1/t higher from Tuesday and up CNY 5/t from the previous Friday.
