Chinese March auto production posts robust recovery
China’s automobile production soared in March on both month-on-month and year-on-year bases, despite year-to-date output still being lower than the same period last year, according to data unveiled by the China Association of Automotive Manufacturers (CAAM) on 11 April.
Chinese car manufacturers produced 2.58 million cars in the reporting month, up 27.2% m-o-m and 15.3% y-o-y, Kallanish notes. Y-t-d production however, was still down 4.3% y-o-y at 6.21m unit…
