Chinese long steel offers slump for early March
Leading eastern Chinese steelmaker, Shagang, announced on Wednesday that it would cut its offers for long steel products in early March by CNY 200-230/tonne ($28-33/t). This followed the earlier reduction by two other major regional construction steel mills, Zenith and Yonggang, which had reduced long steel prices by CNY 190-200/t in the last ten days of February, Kallanish notes.
