Chinese late-November longs offers jump despite spot correction
Although the Chinese rebar market has turned down this week, steel mills in eastern China have still announced substantial price increases, Kallanish notes.
For the last ten days of November, Shagang has added CNY 50/tonne ($7.6/t) to its rebar prices and CNY 200/t to high-speed wire rod and rebar in coil prices. Zenith and Yoanggang meanwhile both increased rebar offers by CNY 130/t, and the other two products by CNY 130/t and CNY 150/t respectively.
