Chinese HRC prices increase but exports stagnate
Chinese domestic hot rolled coil prices gained last week on buying and higher futures prices. Export prices remained stagnant however despite higher mill offers as traders were undercutting the market. News of a fire at a Rizhao Iron and Steel blast furnace briefly excited the market but the impact appeared to be minor, Kallanish notes.
