China's shipbuilding completions rise in May
China's shipbuilding completions maintained almost the same gains as in April, boost the performance on a year-on-year basis in January-May.
According to the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry (CANSI), shipbuilding completions in China reached 16.47 million deadweight tonnes in January-May, up by 15.4% y-o-y. The monthly completions in May only were 3.67m dwt, 1.1% higher compared than the 3.63m dwt completed in April.
