China's shipbuilding completions rebounded in August
China's shipbuilding completions corrected July's losses in August and returned to highs for this year. New orders also saw an uptick, implying firm demand.
According to the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry (CANSI), shipbuilding completions in China reached 27.98 million deadweight tonnes in January-August, up by 16.9% y-o-y. Completions in August were 3.89m dwt, which is 0.93m dwt higher than July.
