China's shipbuilding completions rebound in August
China's shipbuilding completions saw a month-on-month rise in August, making up for some of the hit to completions from hot weather and coronavirus lockdowns in July.
According to the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry (CANSI), China's shipbuilding completions reached 23.94 million deadweight tonnes in January-August, narrowing the year-on-year drop to 8.9%. Completions in August reached 3.09m dwt, recovering by 31.5% from July.
