China's scrap prices decline during holiday
China's scrap market slowed down last week as the Chinese market entered a holiday from last Thursday, and scrap market supply fell slightly.
On Friday, Kallanish assessed 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 2,626/tonne ($363/t), including VAT. This is CNY 10/t higher from Thursday and down CNY 11/t from a week before.
