China's coking coal import volume slips in May
China's coking coal import volume in May corrected down from the year's high in April but was still higher on-year. The coke export volume meanwhile dropped both on-month and on-year.
China imported 9.7 million tonnes of coking coal this May, down 11.6% on-month but remaining 44.1% higher on-year. All the major suppliers saw lower shipments to China this month. But the on-month change of average prices differed.
