China strongly questions fairness of EC HRC tariffs
On 5 May China’s Ministry of Commerce (Mofcom) announced on its website that the European Commission (EC) had disclosed findings from its countervailing investigation into imports of Chinese hot rolled coil. The EC suggested that it intends to charge 4.9%-42.6% import tariffs on the product. Mofcom has protested strongly and says that the EC had "... abandoned fairness in making the determination," Kallanish notes.
