China drags down global output despite EU strength
Crude steel production in the 64 countries reporting to the World Steel Association (worldsteel) fell for a second consecutive month in September, by 9% on-year to 144.4 million tonnes. The drop was again the result of curbed production in China, Kallanish notes.
