China could import sizeable semis/pig iron: Gordienko
A reduction in China’s economic stimulus means it will not prop up global steel demand in 2021 like it did in 2020. However, the country may still import sizeable semi-finished steel or pig iron tonnages this year amid shrinking blast furnace capacity and environmental concerns, according to Alexander Gordienko, International Sales Manager at Celsa Group.
