China announces coal and steel capacity cuts completion
China surpassed on 11 December its coal and steel overcapacity elimination targets for 2016, according to the National Development and Reform Commission (NDCR). These industries have also turned losses into gains this year, and the NDRC attributes this mainly to supply-side reform, Kallanish notes.
