EU scrap export regulation changes expected in 2023
A change in the existing EU scrap export regulations could become effective in 2023, Kallanish learns from Italian electric arc furnace-based steelmaker Arvedi Group.
During a press conference at Made in Steel in Milan, Arvedi founder and president Giovanni Arvedi expressed his hope that European scrap exports will be limited in some form as of 2023.
"Scrap is an essential problem and resource to maintain steelmaking in Europe," he said.
