Celsa commissions reheating furnace in France
Celsa has started up a new low-carbon-footprint billet reheating furnace at its new facility in Bayonne, southwest France.
With a capacity of 120 tonnes per hour, it reheats billet produced from scrap and was installed by French engineering company Fives. The equipment can charge hot billet of different sections and lengths from the caster. The wire rod and bar produced at the plant will supply the local construction industry.
