Capacity increase would cause industry deadlock says CIB
Value added production, not capacity increases, is the sole remedy for the Turkish steel industry, the Turkish Steel Exporters Association's (CIB) chairman Namik Ekinci says.
"What we need to do primarily is to shift manufacturing with the existing capacity towards high value added products. Otherwise the industry coming to a deadlock is inevitable," Ekinci says in a statement sent to Kallanish.
