Canada’s rig count declines again while US’ increases
The North American rig count dropped during the week ended 14 April as Canada reduced its active rotary rigs, according to the latest weekly report from energy services firm Baker Hughes.
Canada’s weekly count declined by eight net rigs during the week, while the US added four net rigs. This brings the total North American count to 796 active rigs – four more than the week prior and 301 more than were active at this time last year.
