Canada steadies Turkish rebar exports after Asia-shipment slump
Turkish rebar exports declined -9% on-year in March to 540,683 tonnes, despite Canada alone taking 117,080t compared to zero in March 2017, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish.
The US was the second-largest export market, increasing intake over eight-fold in March to 85,767t, on the eve of Section 232 tariff implementation.
