Canada grants $27m to Gerdau, Tenaris
The Canadian government has pledged a combined CAD 36 million ($27.34m) for upgrades for two Canadian steelmakers, with the aim of increasing manufacturing jobs, Kallanish reports.
CAD 16m is slated for Tenaris’ Algoma Tubes seamless mill in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and its welded mill Calgary, Alberta.
