Brexit continues to haunt UK commercial construction
The UK construction sector, normally a bastion of steel demand in the UK, continued to struggle in March according to the latest IHS Markit/Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) survey monitored by Kallanish. There was a marginal reduction in overall construction output with the steel-intensive commercial construction sector remaining the weakest performing area. Brexit continues to be a major negative factor.
