Brazil’s Usiminas to improve energy self-sufficiency
Usiminas and Canadian Solar will jointly develop a renewable energy project to improve the steelmaker`s energy self-sufficiency.
The investment is BRL 1.35 billion ($263.43 million) and includes the building of a solar park in the municipality of Luziania in the Goiás state for the self-production of an average of 30 megawatts of renewable energy for 15 years starting from 2025.
