Brazil's steel sector denies pricing commitment with government
Brazil's steel industry appears surprised by an announcement by local Minister of Economy Paulo Guedes that there was an informal agreement with the sector not to readjust prices until the end of the year, Kallanish notes. During a webinar organized by local media Valor, he also confirmed a reduction from 12% to 10.8% in steel import tax.
