Brazil end users lambast steel price surge
Brazilian flat steel prices almost doubled on-year in 2020, Kallanish notes. According to a survey by Brazilian machinery and equipment industry association Abimaq, the increase was 108% for purchases from local distributors and 85% for direct supplies from steelmakers.
