Brazilian steel output falls in February
Brazilian crude steel and rolled products output fell year-on-year during February, Kallanish learns from data issued by local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB).
Crude steel output in February was 2.70 million tonnes, -1.3% down on the volume of 2.74mt produced during the same month in 2019. During the two-month period, crude steel production reached 5.38mt. This volume represents a fall -6.4% y-o-y.
