Brazil's steel imports fall in October
Brazil saw its steel imports increase in the ten months through October, but export sales continued falling, Kallanish learns from data issued by local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB).
During January-October steel imports rose by 2.9% compared to the same period of 2017 to 2.07 million tonnes. In the tenth month alone, imports of steel were nevertheless down -32.8% y-o-y to 125,000t.
