Brazil`s steel exports and imports rise in July
Brazilian steel exports and imports both increased year-on-year during August, Kallanish learns from data issued by local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB).
Brazil’s steel exports rose by 48.0% year-on-year to 891,000 tonnes in August 2019. Shipments abroad of semi-finished products were 641,000t or 541.0% higher y-o-y. Flat steel exports were only 85,000t, down by -71.1% y-o-y. The country saw its long steel shipme…
