Brazil’s May semis exports fall, imports increase
Brazilian exports of semi-finished products fell month-on-month and were weaker year-on-year in May. Imports, however, sharply grew, Kallanish notes.
According to the latest Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data, the country’s semis shipments abroad totalled 510,000 tonnes in May, a fall of 19,000t from April and 44.8% lower compared with the same month last year.
