Brazil’s ferrous scrap exports remain depressed in April
Brazil saw ferrous scrap exports fall for a fourth consecutive month in April. Shipments were also weaker year-on-year, Kallanish notes. Imports remained insignificant in the month.
According to the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic), scrap exports totalled 34,600 tonnes in April, a decrease of 2,100t compared with March and 58.1% less y-o-y.
