Brazil's CSP sees slab shipments hit five-year high
Brazilian slab producer Companhia Siderúrgica do Pecém (CSP) saw its shipments abroad rise sharply in April, Kallanish notes.
According to data issued by the local port authority, CSP’s April slab exports reached 320,977 tonnes, up 74.2% on-month and also 10.7% higher versus the 271,973t shipped in April 2021. This was the second-highest monthly volume supplied abroad by the producer since the 320,977t shipped in May 2017.
