Brazil`s CSP slab exports fall in first quarter
Brazilian slab producer Companhia Siderúrgica do Pecém (CSP) saw its shipments fall year-on-year both in the first quarter of 2020 and in March alone, according to data issued by the local port authority.
CSP January-March slab exports reached 711,195 tonnes or just -0.8% less on-year compared to 716,877t in the same period of 2019. In March alone, these reached 244,563t, -1.3% less on-year, but up by 5.6% over February volumes, Kallanish notes.
