Brazil’s CSP reduces slab exports in May
Brazilian slab producer Companhia Siderúrgica do Pecém (CSP) saw its shipments fall year-on-year in May and January-May, according to data issued by the local port authority.
CSP’s May slab exports reached 174,222 tonnes, -39.5% lower on-year. These were also down by -21.6% over the volume of 222,356t shipped in April, Kallanish notes. January-May slab exports reached 1,107,773t. This volume was -5.5% less on-year compared to 1,172,686t in the …
