Brazil's CSP marks record slab exports in January
Brazil`s Companhia Siderúrgica do Pecém (CSP) registered record slab exports in January, Kallanish learns from data issued by the local port authority.
The company shipped 306,700 tonnes of slab in the first month of 2017. This was 50% of overall slab exports in 2016. On a month-on-month comparison, CSP also showed substantial growth; the steelmaker shipped nearly 157,000t more compared to December 2016, a 94% increase.
