Brazil's crude steel output rises in January
Brazil saw its crude steel production increase year-on-year during the first month of 2019. The country’s rolled products output nevertheless fell in January, Kallanish learns from data issued by local steelmakers association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB).
In January crude steel output totalled 2.93 million tonnes, up 2.3% on the 2.86mt produced during the same month in 2018.
