Brazil output, demand seen growing further in 2022
Brazilian steel production and consumption will continue to improve in 2022 after growing significantly this year, according to local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB)’s latest outlook monitored by Kallanish.
Domestic steel sales and consumption should rise 2.5% to 23.2 million tonnes and by 1.5% to 27.mt respectively on-year in 2022. Crude steel production is estimated to reach 36.8mt, a growth of 2.2%.
