Brazil's steel trade lowers in April

Brazilian steel imports and exports both decreased in April this year, Kallanish learns from data issued by local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB). Steel imports fell by -24.0% y-o-y to 186,000 tonnes during April 2020. Flat steel arrivals totalled 81,000t, or -24.9% lower y-o-y, although long steel imports were 43,000t or 2.6% more on-year.
